わたしのかわいい／My Kawaii.

みなさんは花はなや植物しょくぶつが好すきですか。育そだてていますか。
わたしは、庭にわや家いえの中なかでいくつか育そだてています。その中なかから１つ紹介しょうかいします。

かわいいコーヒーの木

息子むすこは、農業のうぎょうや植物しょくぶつの勉強べんきょうをしています。大学だいがくでは　1年ねんに1回かい、秋あきに収穫祭しゅうかくさいというイベントがあります。
学生がくせいたちが育そだてた植物しょくぶつや、野菜やさい、ジャム、食たべ物ものなどを買かうことができます。とても人気にんきがあります。

このコーヒーの木きは、去年きょねんの収穫祭しゅうかくさいで買かいました。寒さむさに弱よわいので、冬ふゆのあいだ家いえの中なかで育そだてていましたが、だんだん葉はが落おちてしまいました。冬ふゆが終おわって、2枚まいだけ葉はが残のこりました。１番小ばんちいさい葉はが生いきてくれました。

そして、１週間しゅうかんぐらい前まえから、新あたらしい葉はができました。毎日まいにち　見みていると大おおきくなっているのがわかります。
こんな小ちいさい葉はでも生いきているのですね。とてもかわいいです。

育て方

冬ふゆが終おわったので、近ちかいうちに、大おおきい植木鉢うえきばちに植うえ替かえようと思おもっています。元気げんきに育そだつためにどうすればいいか調しらべてみました。

• 日光にっこうを好このむ、ただし、直射日光ちょくしゃにっこうにあてない
• 寒さむさに弱よわい、10℃以上いじょうの場所ばしょに置おく
• 春はる、夏なつ、秋あきは、水みずをよくあげる
• 冬ふゆは、水みずをあげる回数かいすうを減へらす
• ５〜8月がつの温あたたかいときに植うえ替かえる

冬ふゆにたくさん葉はが落おちたのは、寒さむさと、水みずをあげすぎたのが原因げんいんでした。

コーヒー豆まめができるまでは数年すうねんかかるようです。それまで、よく見みて、冬ふゆには寒さむさに負まけないように育そだてたいです。かわいいコーヒー豆まめができるのを願ねがっています。

Kawaii coffee tree.

My son is studying agriculture and plants.Once a year, in the fall, the university has an event called the Harvest Festival.Students can buy plants, vegetables, jams, and food grown by the students.It is very popular.

I bought this coffee tree at last year’s harvest festival. It is sensitive to cold, so I kept it inside for the winter and it gradually lost its leaves.After the winter was over, only two leaves remained, and the smallest one survived.

Then, about a week ago, new leaves started to form.Everyday I look at it, I can see it is getting bigger.Even such a small leaf is alive, isn’t it?Very Kawaii.

How to grow

Now that winter is over, I am planning to repot my plant  into a larger flower pot  in the near future.I have been researching what I should do to make sure it grows well.

• Prefers sunlight, but not direct sunlight
• Cold hardy, keep in a place above 10°C (50°F)
• Water frequently in spring, summer, and fall
• In winter, water less frequently.
• Replant when it is warm from May to August.

A lot of leaves fell off in the winter because of the cold weather and too much watering.

It seems to take several years to produce coffee beans.Until then, I want to watch it closely and grow it  in the cold in winter.I hope it will produce Kawaii coffee beans.
